A quick observation


Random thought of the day:

I am a cooking and design fanatic: I love anything to do with food and creative visuals.  So it’s no surprise I avidly watch the food network and HGTV & the DIY network in my spare time.

I’ve noticed a difference in the commercials on these two channels: while it is obvious that most of the advertisements will be geared towards selling kitchen implements on the cooking channel and home improvement tools in between renovation shows, there is one odd change I’ve seen.

Cat food commercials are rampant on the cooking channel, while all things dog are glorified during the breaks on HGTV.  There is almost never any overlap when it comes to these two pets.  Are chefs supposed to be cat people?  Can big burly construction workers not catch the feline craze?  Is puppy love reserved for interior designers?

Weird.
